Thank God for releasing me from jail. It's been a long 20 years.

Weren't you released because of the advancements in science which led to DNA evidence proving you were innocent?

I've been blessed, that is all I can say.

Why give credit to god for releasing you but not for making you spend those 20 years in jail?

Yea well, that was a test. God works in mysterious ways you know.

It's all part of gods plan.

That sounds rather deterministic. I'm with you on determinism, but it makes more sense if you leave this god concept out of the picture.

Then nothing happens, I just die.

On the contrary, you will have wasted a good amount of your your life dedicated to a lie, and will not have lived your life to the fullest because you think there is an after-life.
